We are supporters of “Tiritiri Matangi”
Tiritiri Matangi (www.tiritirimatangi.org.nz/) is an open sanctuary, and provides a special opportunity to see some of New Zealand’s rarest birds and other species. Since 1984 over 280.000 trees have been planted by thousands of volunteers. These provide a new habitat for released species such as the red-crowned parakeet, North Island saddleback, whitehead, brown teal, takahe, North Island robin, little spotted kiwi, stitchbird, kokako, fernbird, tuatara and North Island tomtit.
